Telemedicine with Ofys

Patient guide

With the Electronic Medical Record Ofys, your healthcare professional can launch a video conference to perform telemedicine consultations. It sends you a secure link that you can click on to join the video consultation.

Below are instructions depending on whether you are using a computer, a smartphone or an iPad.

Computer

Google Chrome, Safari and Firefox browsers are compatible. Just open the link sent by your clinic and grant access to the microphone and the camera when prompted.

iPhone

When you open the first link sent by your clinic, the conference starts directly in the default browser. All you have to do is authorize access to the microphone and camera.

Android phone

When you open the first link sent by your clinic, choose to open it in the web browser. Then simply authorize access to the microphone and the camera and the conference will begin.

iPad

When you open the first link in the email sent by your clinic, the conference will launch in your default browser. You will then need to grant access to the microphone and camera.

If your ipad isn't up to date, the conference might not work in Safari. You have two options :

  1. First install the Jitsi Meet app by clicking on the link in the email that will be sent to you by your clinic. Then, return to the email and click on the link "Mobile (Jitsi Meet): TelMed Ofys". The conference will open in the Jitsi Meet app. Note that for this link to be clickable, you must open the email in the Mail app of your iPad.
  2. Or, install Google Chrome, then copy-paste the link from Safari to Google Chrome.

Please contact your clinic if you have any questions about telemedicine consultations.
